Theorie Bar and Restaurant is an 8000 sf. gut-remodel of a 100 year-old historic brick building in Lodo, Denver. It is the main component of a 22,000 sf. mixed-use renovation that also includes a LEED office and two retail spaces. It is a place of complementary contradictions: a hip, high-end bar adjacent to Coors field; cutting edge materials and pure modern elements set in a rough historic shell; and the balanced juxtaposition of clear rectangular forms with strong curvilinear elements.
