| This 2500 s.f. home will replace a house lost in Boulder’s catastrophic Four Mile Fire. The owner asked for an iconic contemporary home with huge windows to capture the sweeping views, exposed concrete walls, reclaimed industrial interior elements and great energy efficiency. The deep south facing overhangs protect against overheating. A large rooftop solar PV array and an advanced mechanical system will keep the utility bills low. The stepped arrangement of the building’s parts works with the site’s steep topography. Construction is expected to begin summer 2011.
