| If Leonardo Da Vinci and Philip Johnson decided to build a house with their own hands (and they won a cement mixer in a poker game)… In the wake of the infamous Four Mile fire, our client asked us to create an iconic, original and livable home. One that was both poetically contemporary & rustically industrial …That simultaneously took in the full breadth of the sweeping mountain views, was strongly fire-resistant and also met Boulder’s rigorous energy-efficiency requirements. And lastly one that reached out into the landscape and created a base for indoor/outdoor living. This raw box of stone, concrete, steel and glass will be built by our construction arm Skycastle Homes.
